Services for Stewart Higgins were held on November 30, 2013 at the Christian Church in Watonga under the direction of Russworm Funeral Home, with his nephew Tim Allen officiating.

Stewart Frederick Higgins was born in Tremont, Maine, on Sept. 22, 1935 and passed away on November 24, 2013, at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City. Stewart was an over-the-road trucker for 33 years until in 2007 when he had a severe stroke that took him off the road.

He was married to his wife Arlene for 56 years. They had lived in Arkansas until 2006, when they moved to Watonga.

Stewart is survived by his wife Arlene of the home; daughter Karin Henderson of Wichita Falls, Texas; son Wesley Bryan Higgins and wife Melysa of Holdenville, Okla.; son Scott Higgins and wife Angie, of Wichita Falls, Texas; son Travis Higgins and girlfriend Shannon of Fayetteville, Ark.; and daughter Erica Lanning and husband Brian of Springdale, Ark.; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Yvonne and Ted Garcia and their sons Carlos and Rick Garcia and their children; and mother-in-law Essie Parker, all of Watonga, Okla. Also, his Grandchildren: Kimberly Daniels and husband Jon; Kurtis Henderson and wife Stephanie; Justin Higgins and wife Stephanie; Heather Silva; Bryan Higgins and wife Shannon; Haili Barnes and husband Austen; Micayla Higgins; Courtney Higgins; Bradley Higgins and wife Lorin; Spencer Higgins; Hilary Fanning and husband Spencer; Dustin Shipp, Ashley Shipp, and Breanna Bussell; also 11 (soon to be 12) great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death was his son, Mark Alan; his Mother and Father, Stewart Wallace and Virginia Ellen Higgins; his brother Charles Higgins and his sister Sonja Lee Mahoney; his father-in-law Oather Parker, his brother-in-law Lacy Parker, his brother-in law Anthony (Bubby) Parker and his sister-in-law Loretta Rachwal.

Pallbearers were Wesley Higgins, Travis Higgins, Dustin Shipp, Ted Garcia, Carlos Garcia, Rick Garcia. Honorary Pallbearers were Scott Higgins, Bradley Higgins, Spencer Higgins, Kurtis Henderson, Brian Lanning, Spencer Fanning, Bryan Higgins, and Ted Garcia II.
