Marilyn Joyce Hastings was born on March 28, 1949 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas to A.L. and Wanda (Kelly) Hastings, the second of four children. Her father A.L., worked in the oil fields of Oklahoma and their family moved many times in her younger years. Marilyn entered the workplace by taking care of elders, whom she cherished, in 1975. She spent most of her adult life as a single mom, caring for her children and those elders entrusted to her care. Everyone knew her as a "pistol packing Mama!" She could fight with the best of them and, often, loved the rest of them! She had 2 rules: Rule #1 "Listen to me" and Rule #2 "Refer to Rule #1". She was a single mom to four, but a "mom" to many rebels!

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents: A.L. and Wanda (Kelly) Hastings, her son: Frank "Tuffy" Raigoza, sister: Barbara Linn and great niece: Karlie Grace.

A warm and loving family survives her. They include her daughter: Teresa Ward and husband Richard of Siloam Springs, AR, sons: Tim Raigoza and wife Bonnie of Boothill, MO, Donny Hastings and partner Ron of Inola, OK, brother: Rex Hastings and wife Samara of West Siloam Springs, OK, sister: Geraldine Cox and husband Leonard of Prairie Grove, AR, grandchildren: Jared, Misty, Randall, Austin, Nakiya, great grandchildren: Talon, Canaan, Raeden, Blazen, Ty, Berklee, Allie, Abbie and many other loved ones.

No matter what life threw at Marilyn, she never lost her faith and love for the Lord.

Graveside services were held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, September 30, 2016 at New Hope Cemetery, Chewey, Oklahoma with Larry Eubanks officiating.

Interment followed under the direction of Roberts & Hart Funeral Home, Westville, OK.
