Fred ARNEY
November 16, 1889 - March 1, 1925

Fred ARNEY was killed Sunday night [March 1] at his home near Chance.
His death is said to have followed a difficulty with a man named Joe BAYES.
The full particulars relative to the affray have been unobtainable so far.
The sheriff's office is making an investigation. No arrest has yet been made. Sheriff MCCASLAND is looking for the man said to have committed the crime.
The remains of ARNEY were buried in the neighborhood cemetery Tuesday [March 3] afternoon.

Note; His full name was Fredrick "Fred" Arney.
He was the son of Hardy and Emily Arney.
He was my family.
