Merle Ann Stand, the daughter of John and Myrtle (Hitcher) Stand, was born November 26, 1947 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life on August 17, 2019 in Fayetteville, Arkansas at the age of 72 years, 8 months and 22 days.
 

Merle loved the Lord and she loved her family. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She loved going to church and was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Stilwell. She touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Elizabeth K. Stand.

She is survived by a loving family which includes her daughter Stacy Michelle Stand and companion Todd Ketcher of Stilwell; her brothers George E. Stand of Laguna Hills, Calif., and David Henry Stand of Tahlequah; her sisters, Mary Ann Wear of Stilwell, Emma Sue Teehee of Stilwell, and Jonetta Elizabeth Johnson of Stilwell; six nephews, four nieces, three great-nephews and a great-niece. Several friends and a large church family also survive her.
 

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at Ketcher Cemetery with Bro. Ron LaCaze officiating.

Burial is under the direction of Hart Funeral Home. Online condolences can be made at www.hartfuneral.net.
