Services have been entrusted to the Hart Funeral Home of Tahlequah.
Wayne Phillip Coiner was born September 8, 1935, in Liberal Missouri to John Robert and Melba Fay (Stout) Coiner.
He departed this life September 16th, 2008 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 73 years, 8 days.
Wayne has loved and served the Lord since he was 17 years old. He was married to Aliene Newman on September 7th, 1957 in Miami, OK. He worked and enjoyed his job at US Lime and Minerals in Marble City, OK. Wayne attended First Freewill Baptist Church in Fort Gibson and was a member of the Republican Club in Muskogee. He loved to read and enjoyed singing hymns with the family on Sunday afternoons. He was known for being generous; helping his neighbors, and gave sacrificially in order to further the gospel. Wayne had a strong work ethic, and taught his children to "never take a paycheck that you didn't earn". He once said, "I don't work for US Lime, I work for the Lord". He had no formal education, but mastered several trades. He had a hard time showing affection, yet truly loved his family. He saw things in balk and white, and wasn't bashful with his opinion. He believed truth could not be known apart from God's word.
Wayne was preceded in death by his wife Minnie Aliene (Newman) Coiner, parents, John Robert and Melba Fay (Stout) Coiner and sister, Illene Green.
He is survived by his two sisters, Anita and husband Albert Saathoff of Stockton, MO, Susan and Husband Dr. Gilbert Sanders, of Livonia, MI, seven children, daughter Carolyn Coiner of Fort Gibson, OK, Son Phillip Coiner and wife Anna of Pueblo, CO., son John Coiner and wife Rhonda of Muskogee, OK, son Lyle Coiner and wife Judy of Bunch, OK, son Paul Coiner and wife Christina of Las Vegas, NV, son Luke Coiner and wife Robin of Baron, OK, son Mark Coiner and wife Jill of Sallisaw, OK, seventeen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter and a host of friends and relatives.
