Services for Sherri JoAnne Owens, 18, of Stilwell, were held Thursday afternoon, April 19 at Stilwell High School with the Rev. Vernon O. Barker officiating.
Interment was in the Freewater Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
She was born March 25, 1972 in Tahlequah, to Richard and Bonnie Lou Wallace Owens. She died Tuesday, April 17 in Stilwell. She was a senior at Stilwell High School.
She was a member of the Freewater Baptist Church and Stilwell D-Fy Club, Future Homemakers of American and Future Business Leaders of America. She was an office aid at Stilwell High School.
She is survived by: her father and mother of the home in Stilwell; her grandmothers, Leona Owens, Stilwell; Mary Wallace, Leland, N.C.; her grandfather, Thomas Wallace, Leland, N.C.; a great-grandmother Bertha Jones, Leland, N.C.; and uncle, Billy Owens, Wilmington N.C. and several aunts and uncles.
