Effie Louise “Lou” Massey, daughter of Richard Devoe and Rosa Mae (Harlin) Vaughn, was born February 6, 1947 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life on March 6, 2019 in Stilwell at the age of 72 years and 1 month.

She was a very loving mother and grandmother to her family and enjoyed all the time she was blessed to spend with them. Some of her hobbies included gardening, shopping, sewing, playing pool where she won several trophies, gathering eggs from her chickens and thoroughly loved her dogs “Cici” and “Cookie.”

She graduated from Stilwell High School in 1965 and owned and operated Lou’s Place for many years to help provide for her family.

Lou was preceded in death by her parents; Richard and Rosa Mae Vaughn, siblings; Edith Morton, Georgia Johnson, Kaylene Guinn and Lonnie Vaughn.

She is survived by a very loving family that includes her children; Angie Ketcher, Shannon Eubanks and Rhonda, Stacey Eubanks and Sheila, Shelby Eubanks and Carolyn all of Stilwell, 22 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren. Siblings; Claudie Vaughn and Irene of Stilwell, Sue Berry and John, Kathryn Swake and Buck, Companion Tom Hammer all of Stilwell, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends also survive her.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 11, 2019 at Roberts/Reed- Culver Chapel, Stilwell, Oklahoma with Rev. Audie Vaughn and Bro. Donnie Sanders officiating.

Interment followed at Freewater Cemetery, Stilwell.
