Andy Junior Long was born in Stilwell, Oklahoma to Cornelius “Pat” and Minnie (Davis) Long on May 22, 1938, and departed this life on May 10, 2011, in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 72 years, 11 months and 18 days.
Junior was a Baptist by faith. He served in the U.S. Marines and U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1965. He retired from Tyson Foods as a truck driver after many years of service.
He is preceded in death by both of his parents, six brothers, Nophaie Long, George Long, Lewis Long, James Long, Roger Dale Long, an infant brother and one sister, Clara Workman.
Those left to cherish his memory include, brothers, Steve Long and wife, Margie, of Stilwell, OK, David Long, of Stilwell, OK, J.C. Long and wife, Charline, of Tahlequah, OK; one sister, Mary Ann Nofire and special friend, Bridge Chuckluck, of Tahlequah, OK and a host of other family and friends.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 13, 2011, at Freewater Cemetery with Rev. Bridge Chuckluck officiating. Final arrangements were entrusted to the care of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
