Ricky Lee Harlin, the son of George Harlin, Jr. and Barbara (Pack) Harlin, was born January 26, 1960, in Stilwell, Oklahoma. He departed this life December 28, 2013, at his home in Stilwell, at the age of 53 years, 11 months and 2 days.
Rick was a lifelong resident of the Stilwell area and attended Stilwell Public Schools. He became a welder and had previously been employed by Latco in Lincoln, Arkansas where he built trusses.
Rick was a cowboy at heart and had worked as a jockey and bull rider. He was a true outdoorsman who loved nature and enjoyed deer hunting and arrowhead hunting. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandkids.
His grandparents preceded Rick in death.
He leaves behind a loving family which includes, his parents, George Jr. and Barbara Harlin, of Stilwell; the love of his life, Kathy Hughes, of Stilwell; daughters, Melissa Harlin and Stacie Catron, of Stilwell; brothers, Randy Brian Harlin and wife, Kim, and Steven Brad Harlin, of Stilwell; sister, Lisa Dillard, of Stilwell; grandsons, Jake Isaacs and Will Wilson; granddaughters, Chloe Davis, Lindzey Lee Freeman and Olivia Ann Freeman and one great grandson, Kaiou River Watie. Many other friends and loved ones also survive him.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2014, at Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. Don Waldrop officiating. Interment will follow at Freewater Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
