Leon Frogg

Leon Frogg, son of John Frogg and Emma Bird Frogg, was born July 27, 1945 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life on March 4, 2019 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 73 years, 7 months and 8 days. Leon attended school in Tahlequah, graduating from Sequoyah High School, where he learned to make jewelry.

After completing his studies at Okmulgee Tech, Leon enrolled in Flaming Rainbow College in Stilwell and completed three years of a business degree before having to leave school.

Leon liked to work on cars in his younger years, he liked fishing, playing his bass guitar for family and friends. He loved spending time with his family and close friends.

Leon was a member of Rock Fence Baptist Church and worked at Cherokee Nation Landfill for many years while his health permitted. He was an easy going and friendly person, most importantly, he never met a stranger.

Leon is missed, loved by his family and will always remain so.

Leon was proceeded in death by his parents; John and Emma Frogg, brother; Cornelius “Jack” Frogg, half-brother; Elmer Hawk, and half-sister; Thelma Gonzalis.

He is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife; Francine Frogg of the home, son; Brian Frogg and wife Niki of Lincoln, Ark.., daughter; Brandi Galcatcher of Stilwell, sister; Sharon Pettit of Stilwell, grandkids; Paul Frogg, Destinee Frogg, Tina Rivera, Hunter Rodriquez, Zakkariah Galcatcher, Brooklyn Roland and a great-grandchild; Frybread.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 8, 2019 at Roberts/Reed- Culver Chapel, Stilwell, with Pastor Judge Fourkiller ofiiciating.

Interment followed at Freewater Cemetery, Stilwell.
