August 29, 1920-November 28, 2008
Fern Corene Coleman, daughter of Crawford Brixie and Molly Elviria (Blair) Renfroe was born on August 29, 1920 in Snowball, Arkansas and departed this life to be with our Lord on November 28, 2008 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 88 years, 2 months and 29 days.
Fern was a charter member of the Freewater Baptist Church.
Fern married the love of her life, James Joe Coleman on August 3, 1935. From this union 7 children were born, 6 boys and 1 girl. She was a homemaker who enjoyed the duties that followed her role of a very loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of over 55 years; James Joe Coleman, 8 sisters; and 4 brothers.
Fern is survived by a very loving family that includes her 7 children; James Eugene Coleman and wife Tommie Ruth of Proctor, OK, Bill Joe Coleman and wife Ina of Tulsa, OK, Gerald Lex coleman and wife Sue of Stilwell, OK, Clyde Duane Coleman and wife Mae Jean of Stilwell, OK, Harold Junior Coleman of Westville, OK, Gracie Bernice Ford and husband Larry of Tulsa, OK, and Jerry Lee Coleman and wife Elaine of Winters, TX.
12 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren, 1 brother-in-law; Eugene Coleman of Amarillo, TX. A very special friend and caregiver; Barbara Gass, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive her.
Funeral services were held, Monday, December 1, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Jones officiating.

Interment followed in the Freewater Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver.
