Wynell Bradley
September 8, 1933-October 14, 2008
Wynell Bradley, the daughter of John T. and Mae (Bryant) Woodward, was born September 8, 1933, in Boston, Arkansas. She passed from this life October 14, 2008, in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 75 years, one month and six days.
On November 29, 1952, Wynell was married to Thomas Wayne Bradley, who died in March of 2002. Wynell was a lifetime resident of the Stilwell area and a member of the Stilwell Church of Christ. She worked as a child-care provider, taking children into her home to care for them as her own. As a very loving wife, mother and grandmother, Wynell was proud of her family and loved to hear her children and grandchildren sing. She had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking, canning, raising big gardens and local strawberries and was noted for her great homemade fudge. Her life was devoted to the Lord and to his service.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Thomas Bradley, daughter, Rosalee Bradley; brothers, Earl, Ernest, Howard, Arl and Harold Woodward, and sisters, Anna Bradford and Wanda Baird.
She leaves behind a loving family which includes her children, Lana Brashear and husband, Leon, of Braggs, OK, Sharon Harper and husband, Chris, of Nelson, MO, Tony Bradley and wife, Karen, of Stilwell, OK, Donna Doublehead and husband, Mike, of Stilwell, OK; three sisters, Bernice (Everman) Van Sant, of Clinton, MO, Wilma Means and Ollie (Brunk) English, both of Stilwell, OK, 11 grandchildren, Carl Brashear, Curtis Brashear, Carey Brashear, Aaron Harper, Alan Harper, Lauren Bradley, Lindsey Bradley, Tyler Bradley, Bradley Doublehead, Chad Doublehead and Tracy Doublehead and 3 great grandchildren, Logan Brashear, Analyse Harper and Avalyn Harper.
Funeral services were held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 16, 2008, at the Stilwell Church of Christ. Interment followed at Freewater Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
