Hulbert, OK – Brenda Denise Blakley daughter of Otto and Trudy (Kelly) Vaughn was born June 30, 1962 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life unexpectedly from double pneumonia, bronchitis and C.O.P.D February 5, 2011 in Hulbert, Oklahoma at the age of 48 years 7 months and 5 days.
Brenda loved everything from Indian artifacts and jewelry, sloppy love songs and 80’s country music, especially Meryl Haggard. She also had a great love for her grandchildren, she enjoyed talking about them and showing their pictures every chance she got.
Brenda married Anthony Ray Talton in Wichita Kansas where they made their home and to this union two children were born, Andrea’ Chavonne Talton and Christopher Ray Talton. After their marriage dissolved and her children were grown Brenda moved back to Tahlequah, OK to be near the family and friends whom she loved so dearly. Brenda was of the Pentecostal faith and a member of the Liberty Mission Church near Tahlequah, she loved going to church and the fellowship with her church family. Brenda married Damond Blakley on October 1, 2010 and they made their home near Peggs, OK where she went to sleep on earth and woke up to Heavens Glory.
She was preceded in death by her mother: Trudy Kelly; her paternal grandparents: Wallace and Mary (Leach) Vaughn; her maternal grandfather Charles Kelly; one sister; Kendra D. Vaughn; and her nephew Russell Lee Ketcher.
She is survived by a very loving family that includes her husband; Damond Blakley of the home, her children, Andrea’ Chavonne Talton, and Fiancée Forrest Noyes of Wichita, KS and Christopher Ray Talton and wife Yeimi of Phoenix, AZ, her grandchildren Jubilee Christiana Noyes Wichita, KS and Christopher Antonio Tatlon Phoenix, AZ, her father: Otto Vaughn and stepmother Anne of Stilwell, OK, her grandmother and step grandfather: Pauline and Claud Hougland of Tahlequah, OK brothers: Mitchell Vaughn and wife Peggy, Tracy Vaughn, Joe Perez, all of Wichita, KS and Charles Clinton and wife Alice of FT. Gibson, OK her sister Maudie and husband Dan of Tahlequah, OK, and a very special aunt: Wanda Brannon and husband LD of Stilwell, OK. A host of nieces, nephews, church family and many friends also survive her.
Funeral services were held 2 pm Friday February 11, 2011 in the Hart Funeral Chapel in Tahlequah, OK with Rev. Jimmy Briggs officiating. Interment followed in the Freewater Cemetery in Stilwell, Oklahoma under the direction of Hart Funeral Home Tahlequah, OK. Please sign our online guestbook at www.hartfuneralhome.net.
