Rose Victoria Striplin was born at home on May 31, 1926 in Pittsburg, California to Erasino and Concetta (Lombardo) Davi. She departed this life March 23, 2015 at the Stilwell Nursing Home at the age of 88.

On February 27, 1971, Rose married the love of her life, Frank William Striplin, in Reno, Nevada. They moved to Stilwell in 1979. Rose enjoyed her role as a homemaker and she and Frank were blessed with 34 happy years together until his passing on July 29, 2005.

Rose was a member of the East Park Missionary Baptist Church in Stilwell. She was steadfast in her care and love for her mother in her later years, taking care of her daily needs until her death. She enjoyed reading, watching TV, gardening, listening to Perry Como and would rejoice in dance. One of her many accomplishments, was writing a play that, unfortunately, she never finished.

The is preceded in death by her parents, Erasino and Concetta Davi, her husband, Frank Striplin, three brothers, Joseph, Tony and Vincent and three sisters, Jennie, Nellie and Catherine.

Rose leaves behind, one sister, Mary, of Martinez, CA; dear friends, Brooks and Eula Billings, of Stilwell and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2015 at Foreman Cemetery with Chaplain Bill Holcomb officiating. Final arrangements were entrusted to the care of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
