Warren J.R. “Sonner” Sanders

Warren J.R. “Sonner” Sanders was born March 12, 1937 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life on May 3, 2013 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas at the age of 76 years, 1 month and 21 days.
He served his country proudly in the United States Army. He enjoyed coon hunting, fishing, horse racing and spending time with family. He worked as a carpenter and was the dog catcher for the City of Westville for many years.
Sonner was preceded in death by his parents; Roy and Lennie Sanders, brother; Garland Sanders and sister; Jewell Corn.
He is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife; Sue Sanders of the home in Westville, OK, 3 children; Larry Wayne Sanders of the home, Bobby Laymone Sanders of El Reno, OK, Sandy Johnson and husband Mike of Westville, OK, 4 grandchildren; Bradley Sanders and wife Marie, Jason Sanders and wife Heather all of Stilwell, OK, Michael Warren Johnson and Cody Lowery both of Westville, OK, 5 great grandchildren; Alexis, Brady, Charlie Ann, Cade and Mikah. 2 sisters; Wanda Kindle and husband Haskell of Proctor, OK, Margie Hammer of Westville, OK, 1 brother; Darrell Sanders of Fontana, KS, several other relatives and many friends also survive him.
Graveside services at 2 pm on Monday, May 6, 2013 at Foreman Cemetery, Westville, OK with Bro. Larry Kindle officiating.
