Funeral rites for Mrs. Effie JOHNSON, 73, were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in Roberts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bud LACIE, officiating. Music was furnished by members of the Lacie family.
Mrs. JOHNSON was born June 13, 1889 in Madison County, Ark., and died December 8 in Stilwell hospital. Interment was in the Foreman CEMETERY under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Milton SATALCUP, Calvin PHILLIPS, Haden COLVIN, Elzey WHEELER, Hollis WEAVER, and Shorty BERGER. Flower bearers were Mrs. Una HOLLAND, Mrs. Nancy FREEMAN, and Mrs. Ida FLEIG.
Survivors include her husband Colvin JOHNSON of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Nola FOREMAN, McAlester; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
