Ted Gonzalis, son of Dave and Esther (Feathers) Gonzalis, was born on April 20, 1942 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at 76 years of age.

He started working for Cherokee Nation after graduation and spent the next 25 years there, working as a plumber, electrician and heavy equipment operator.

Ted enjoyed fishing, making knives and bows, NASCAR and spending time outdoors. He enjoyed raising a garden every year and he was a good cook, too!

He was saved on August 19, 2018 in Stilwell. Ted was a simple soul. He deeply loved his family and will be missed by them always.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Dave and Esther Gonzalis, sisters: Becky Doublehead, Madeline Soap, Lou Anna Soap, brothers: Finas Gonzalis and Bob Gonzalis.

Ted leaves behind a loving family to keep his memory alive. They include his daughter: Tonya McNabb and husband Charles of Muskogee, sister: Raydeen McReynolds and husband James of Stilwell, nieces: Teresa Nofire, Donna Grey, Cheryle Soap, Kammy Catron and husband Lafayette, Celia Adair, Sue Helen Gonzalis, Betty Jo Gonzalis, Lucille Gonzalis, Patricia Gonzalis, nephews: Robert Price, Glen Doublehead, granddaughters: Kendra and Tamika Black, greatgranddaughter : Annaleigh Holmes and great-grandson: Drayton Holmes.

Graveside services were held Friday, October 5, 2018 at Feathers Cemetery, Stilwell, with Bro. D.J. McCarter officiating.

Interment followed under the direction of Roberts/Reed- Culver Funeral Home, Stilwell.
