Dorothy Hummingbird was born December 30, 1934, in Stilwell, Oklahoma to Jones Gonzales and Eliza (Livers) Gonzales. She passed away August 1, 2010, at her home in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 75 years, 7 months and 1 day.

Dorothy married Leonard Hummingbird and this union was blessed with two children, John and Dianna. She worked as a cook for Dahlonegah School, retiring after many years of service. Dorothy was a member of Fairfield Baptist Church.

Her parents, husband, Leonard Hummingbird, son, John Hummingbird, son-in-law, Mike Armstrong, two brothers and two sisters, preceded her in death.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Dianna Armstrong, of Stilwell; three brothers, Dennis Gonzales, Leo Gonzales and John Gonzales Jr.; two sisters, Maejean Littledeer and Louise Mounce; two grandchildren, Brandon and Jason Armstrong and 6 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 5, 2010, at Fairfield Baptist Church with Bro. Donnie Sanders officiating. Interment followed at Fairfield Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
