Jerry Joe Scott Sr., was born April 12, 1931 in Stilwell, Ok to John and Kate (Carden) Scott. He departed this life on June 5, 2010 at the age of 79 at his home in Stilwell.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years Diana Kay Scott. His children: Angela Wilhite and husband Derriek, Sandra Campbell and husband Heath, Christan Scott, Jerry Scott Jr., and wife Lynn Nofire all of Stilwell, OK. Joey Scott and wife Laverta of Stilwell, Debra Grant and husband Reggie of Muskogee, OK, Jerri Lynne Palmer of Tahlequah, OK, Norman Reed and wife Tina, Lee and husband Dan Black, and Anna Spurlock all of Cleveland, OH, Randy and wife Fern of Fayetteville, AR. He had 25 grandchildren and one on the way and 7 great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and one brother; John Scott and wife Joyce of Owasso, OK.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Kate Scott and two sisters, Betty Morgan and Margie Henry.
He was a truck driver for over 50 years. He loved spending time with his family, especially with his grandkids. He liked mowing the grass, having cookouts and visiting with friends. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at Elm Grove Baptist Church, Stilwell, Oklahoma with Bro. Lester Campbell officiating. Interment followed at Elm Grove Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
