Billy Carl Buckner, son of Leland Dow & Evelyn Lois (Brown) Buckner, was born on December 12, 1933 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and he departed this life on Monday, March 24, 2014 Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 80 years.
He liked to work on old cars. Bill enjoyed spending time by himself. He would always check in on sick relatives. Bill worked as a carpenter. He had a real good friend, Harvey Hill.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Leland and Evelyn Buckner, sisters: Jane Smith and Evelyn Kay Woods, brothers: Mosey Buckner and Bobby Dow Buckner.
He is survived by his brothers: Posey Buckner and wife Floyatta Jean of Stilwell, Vernon Buckner and wife Barbara of Tahlequah, OK, James Buckner, Gerald Buckner, Paul Buckner and wife Sheila, Adrian Buckner and wife Faye, all of Stilwell and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Graveside services at 2 pm on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Elm Grove Cemetery, Stilwell, OK with Gerald Buckner officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
