Rosa Brown the daughter Blane and Kindless (Ex) Workman, was born in Natural Dam, Arkansas on September 8, 1917 and departed this life on December 25, 2020 in Stilwell, Oklahoma.

She was a member of Four Corners Church and was baptized on December 14. 1975. Rosa was an avid reader of her bible and she even checked off every chapter when she was done and on some she listed when she started them and when she finished them.

Rosa was the oldest of 12 kids and a hard worker her whole life. She retired from Stilwell Foods in Stilwell, Oklahoma. She was quite the lady. She did not have to have the best: she was so utterly practical and enjoyed the simple things. Rosa was a lady of dignity. She was the ultimate family person. It you showed up, she was ready to feed you and you could not say no to her fried potatoes.

Her life as a Mother brought her much happiness, then grace rained down, her children grew and then joy overflowed and she became a Granny.  A title she loved and enjoyed.  Not only her family but to many she was and always will be “Granny Rosie.”

Rosa had many hobbies which included gardening, canning, her flowers, cattle, and quilting. Before her hands would no longer allow her to do so, she made sure all her loved ones had a quilt to remember her by. So, please remember her fondly, remember her love, her sense of humor, and her playful side, because she was our Mom, our Granny and we will miss her so.

Rosa is preceded in death by her husbands: Cliff Brown and father of her children, John Brown (Buss), her parents, 3 children, 5 brothers, 4 sisters, and 2 grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory are: 1 brother Ed Workman of Stilwell,  Oklahoma, 2 sisters: Cindy Drishill of Silverton, Oregon and Retha Jones of Inola, Oklahoma. Son: Roy Brown and wife Sandy of Stilwell, Oklahoma and 1 daughter-in-law: Glenda Brown of Stilwell, Oklahoma. 4 grandchildren: Cliff Brown, Rhonda Gibson and husband Benny, Gerald Brown, and wife Jenna and 1 special grandson that she cherished and raised as her own: Jerry Brown and wife Mona all of Stilwell. Oklahoma. 8 great grandchildren:  Justin Brown of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Mandi Bolin of Springdale, Arkansas, Chasity, and Chloe Brown of Stilwell, Oklahoma, Dakota Brown of Watts, Oklahoma Jacob Holloway,  Samuel Holloway, and Mason Brown all of Stilwell, Oklahoma. 3 great grandchildren: Rhys and Lorelei Bolin of Springdale, Arkansas, and Kolden Brown of Stilwell. Oklahoma. A host of other family and friends also survive her.

Graveside services were held at 2 pm on Monday, January 4, 2021 at Elm Grove Cemetery, Stilwell, OK with Gerald Buckner officiating.  Interment followed under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home, Stilwell, OK.
