Mary Lee Catron Tidwell, daughter of Nannie Foster and John Catron was born November 27, 1943 in the Rocky Mountain Community. She departed this life to be with our Lord on May 19, 2017 in Stilwell at the age of 73 years.

Mary was a Native American artist, she hand beaded medallions and hair pieces, mainly known for her "Indian Lady" and "Butterfly" medallion necklaces. Her beadwork was purchased throughout various shops, museums and overseas.

Most importantly, Mary was a mother, grandmother and great grandmother and loved her family very much. She always taught her family about Jesus and the word of God. She was a member of Echota Baptist Church since she was a child.

Mary's hobbies included fishing, painting, sewing, cooking in which she was known best for her fried chicken, most of all spending time with her grandchildren and family. She often shared fond memories of her mother, granny and growing up in the Rocky Mountain community.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her grandmother; Jenny Batt Foster, one infant sister, one brother; Haskell Williams Jr., greatgrandson; River Kyle Beaver, granddaughter; Maxee Tidwell, Milford Tidwell, special cousin who was like a sister; Barbara Stepp.

Mary is survived by a very loving family that includes her children; Micheal Tidwell, Dodie Brown and husband George all of Stilwell, Andrea Tidwell of the home and Herb Sunday of Tahlequah, Ronnie Tidwell and wife Carol of Westville, grandchildren; Adrian Sunday of the home, Savannah Beaver and husband Andrew Hopkins, Robin Beaver and wife Vernice, Robbie Beaver, Rodney Beaver, Micheal Bunch, Bosephus Wing, Devoe, Retha, Gracie, Shania and Bucky Brown, Trevor Cagley, Matthew Tidwell, Chloe Tidwell, Reagan Tidwell, Shady Tidwell, Great grandchildren; Robert Beaver, Justin Duncan, and Kiaan Hopkins, brother; John Williams of Kansas City, sisters; Vina Pritchett and husband Rufus, Peggy Sue Rossand husband James, special cousins who were like sisters, Sandra Vann, Mary Alice McLemore, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive her.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Echota Baptist Church, Stilwell, with Pastor Jerry Ice officiating. Interment followed at Echota Cemetery, Stilwell, under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
