Darlene Taylor, daughter of Irene Adair and Joe Christie, was born September 27, 1957 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life to spend eternity with her Lord and Savior on January 17, 2019 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 61 years, 3 months and 20 days.

Darlene was a very caring and loving person and it showed through her many years of service as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She especially loved going to church, attending gospel singings, watching the Church Channel on TV and reading her Bible. Most of all she enjoyed precious time spent with her family.

She was preceded in death by her first husband; Bob Waters, mother and stepdad; Irene and Jackson Handle, father; Joe Christie and nephew; Jonathan Handle.

Darlene is survived by a very loving family that includes her husband; Roy Taylor of the home in Stilwell, daughter; Kelly Spencer and husband James of Atlanta, Ga., grandchildren; Isaiah Spencer, Ciepress Spencer and Ezekiel Spencer all of Atlanta, brother; Eugene Handle and wife Laura, nephews; Gene Handle and Buke Handle all of Stilwell, sisters-in-law; Sherry Nelson and husband Melvin of Stilwell, Eva Cooper and husband Kurt of Guy, Ark. several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive her.

Funeral services were held, Tuesday, January 22, 2019 with Pastor Larry Swafford officiating.

Interment followed in the Echota Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
