Sam "Benny" Squirrel
August 2, 1952-June 1, 2007

Sam Ben Squirrel always known as Benny, the son of Jim and Sallie Squirrel was born on August 2, 1952 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and passed on June 1, 2007 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 54 years, 5 months.

Benny will be remembered as an avid bicycle rider. He could ride with the best of them. He was seen riding his bike in the snow, in steamy hot weather, and in the rain. No season kept Benny off his transporation.
Everyone looked out for Benny, you will truly be missed Mr. Benny Squirrel.

He is survived by 6 sisters; Lucy McGraw, Lena Roof, Eliza Smith, Elizabeth Grigsby all of Stilwell,Oklahoma, Louise Siegrist of Springer, Oklahoma, Mary Blackbird of Ada, Oklahoma, 2 brothers; Joe Squirrel and Timothy Squirrel both of Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Jim and Sallie Squirrel, 1 brother; Jim Squirrel, 1 sister; Arlene Goodmoney.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. in the Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Chapel with Bro. Kendall Nakedhead officiating.
Interment followed in the Echota Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
