Born June 14, 1961 in San Francisco, California to Charley and Irene Mankiller, William Edward Mankiller was called home on his 53rd birthday, June 14, 2014 in Tulsa, Oklahoma with his family by his side.
During his short time with us, William “Bill” Mankiller was a very skilled carpenter by trade and enjoyed fishing, gardening, bowling and spending time with his family and many friends. He was an avid cook and loved to prepare large meals for family gatherings.
He leaves behind to mourn his passing his mother, Irene Mankiller of Rocky Mountain, OK and his wife, Annette Mankiller. Bill was the father of 4 daughters, Misty Lynn Mankiller of Rocky Mountain, OK, Regina Ann Foreman of Locust Grove, OK, Clarise Leighann Mankiller and Kassandra Belle Mankiller, both of the home and 1 son, Robert Charles Mankiller of Jacksonville, North Carolina. He leaves behind 2 granddaughters, Kynda Lee Foreman and Brooke-Lynn Summer Mankiller and 2 grandsons, Blake Charles Mankiller and Nash Edward Mankiller and a son-in-law, Derek Foreman. Survivors include 2 brothers, Don Mankiller and wife TJ of Mulberry and Jim Mankiller and wife Lula Elk of Keys, OK and 1 loving sister, Frances Willingham of Tahlequah as well as a host of many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Charley Mankiller, 3 brothers: Bob Mankiller, Johnny Mankiller and Richard Mankiller, 4 sisters: Frieda Mankiller-Mullins, Wilma Mankiller, Linda Sanchez and Vanessa Mankiller, 1 nephew, Smokey Mankiller, 1 niece, Laura Rackleff, mother-in-law, Edna Catron and brother-in-law, Richard Willingham.
Funeral services at 2 pm on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Echota Baptist Church, Stilwell, OK with Bro. Carney Duncan officiating. Interment to follow at Echota Cemetery, Stilwell, OK under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
