August 13, 1926-January 17, 2008
Luther Ross son of Joe and Callie (Thomas) Ross was born August 13, 1926 in Cleveland, OK., and departed this life on January 17, 2008 inTahlequah, OK., at the age of 81 years, 5 months and 4 days.
He married Vadia Cox on November 8, 1947 and to this union 8 children were born; Janice, Jeannie, Danny, Melvin, Karen, Lucy, Jimmie, and Randy. Luthers favorite thing in life was to cook Sunday dinner for his family.
Luther proudly served in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict.
Luther was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister; Lorene Rutherford, 1 brother; Ewing Ross and granddaughter; Larita Ross.
He is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife of over 60 years; Vadia Ross of the home in Stilwell, OK., his children; Janice Hull of Rogers, AR., Jeannie Nast and husband John of Greenwood, AR., Danny Ross and wife Linda of Stilwell, OK., Melvin Ross of Poteau, OK., Karen Martinez and husband Marty, Lucy Wheeler and husband James all of Stilwell, OK., Jimmie Still and Mike Garr of Kansas, OK., Randy Ross and wife Andrea of Stiwell, OK., 22 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, 4 brothers; Edward Ross and wife Viola of Foyil, OK., Cleburne Ross and wife Verna of Wagoner, OK., Lonnie Ross and wife Kay of Inola, OK., Jerry Ross and wife Velma of OK., extended family, several nieces, nephews other relatives and many, many friends also survive him.
Funeral services were held Monday, January 21, 2008 in the Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Chapel with Bro. Danny Ross and Bro. James Wheeler officiating.
Interment followed in theEwing Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.

Vadia Ross, daughter of Day Jefferson Cox and Gladys (Johnson) Cox was born May 9, 1930 in Gore, OK and departed this life to be with our Lord on July 20, 2012 in Stilwell, OK at the age of 82 years, 2 months and 11 days.
She married Luther Ross on November 8, 1947 and to this union 8 children were born. She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, visiting Branson with her sisters, daughters and nieces. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Vadia loved to “Go” and it didn’t matter where. She retired from Stilwell Foods after working for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sister; Georgia Miller Cox, brother; Jimmy Milligan, daughter; Janice Smith and granddaughter; LaRita Ross.
Vadia is survived by a very loving family that includes 7 children; Jeannie Nast and husband John of Greenwood, AR, Melvin Ross of Wister, OK, Jimmie Frailey and husband Danny of Kansas, OK, Danny Ross and wife Linda, Randy Ross and wife Andrea, Lucy Wheeler and husband James, Karen Martinez and husband Marty, son in law; Anthony Smith, sister; Daisy Neff all of Stilwell, OK. 22 grandchildren; 53 and one on the way great grandchildren, 4 and one on the way great great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive her.
Funeral services were held at 2 pm on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Roberts/Reed-Culver with Rev. Thomas Still and Bro. Danny Ross officiating. Interment followed at Ewing Chapel Cemetery.
