Orae G. Hopkins son of Andrew and Octavia (Whisenhunt) Hopkins was born July 21, 1940 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life surrounded by loved ones on November 14, 2018 in Muskogee, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years, 3 months and 21 days.
 

He was a hard worker who worked in the logging business for many years to provide for his family. His favorite hobby was fishing but he also enjoyed raising cattle, and most of all enjoyed time spent with family especially his grandkids and great grandkids. Orae was a member of Bell Baptist Church.
 

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter; Carla Ritter, grandsons; Shawn Ritter and Kaleb Hopkins, 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
 

Orae is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife; Charlotte of the home, 3 sons; Vince Hopkins and wife Marsi, Van Hopkins and wife Penny and Anthony Hopkins all of Stilwell, OK, grandkids; Nathan Hopkins and wife Brenda, Carnella Smith and husband Preston, Chrissy Timberman and husband Brad, Howard Hopkins and wife Calissa, Jake Longshore, Josh Hopkins and wife Emily and Savanah Hopkins, Great grandchildren; Logan, Shayne, Chevelle, Skylar, Lane, Doc, Octavia, Greysen, Taos, Stratton, Zeke, Malachi, Shawn and Gracie, sister; Lou of Michigan, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him.
 

Funeral services were held Monday, November 19, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel with Bro. Lester Campbell officiating.

Interment followed in the Ewing Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
