Betty Jean Sanders, the daughter of John and Willie (Burgess) Green, was born May 12, 1933, in Westville, Oklahoma. She passed from this life November 15, 2011, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years, six months and three days.

On December 18, 1954, Betty was married to W.R. Sanders. Betty worked as a farmer and enjoyed her flowers, gardening and her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, W.R. Sanders, brothers, Ray, Billy Joe and Johnny Green and an infant granddaughter, Bethany Hummingbird.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Jack and Cindy Sanders, of Stilwell; daughter, Brenda and Salaw Hummingbird, of Stilwell; brothers, Gary and Janet Green, of Vian, J.L. and Johnnie Green, of Tahlequah; sisters, Wanda and Levi Tidwell, of Wichita, KS; sister-in-law, Lorna Green, of Langley, six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 18, 2011, at Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. Salaw Hummingbird officiating. Interment will follow at Downing Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
