Ollie Mae Patterson, daughter of Frank and Minnie (Stansill) Clinton, was born on May 6, 1933, in the Baron Community of Oklahoma and departed this life on Friday, December 18, 2009, in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 76 years, 7 months and 12 days.
Ollie was united in marriage to L.D. Patterson on August 8, 1950 in Washington County, Arkansas. Ollie worked for Campbell Foods for 10 years as a lead lady in Quality Control. She then became a cook for the Stilwell and Westville Nursing Homes. She attended Cherry Tree Baptist Church and enjoyed gospel singings. She also enjoyed quilting, embroidery and visiting with friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, L.D. Patterson, who died April 6, 1986, and her sister, Jennie Reed.
She leaves behind her son, Bobby D. Patterson and daughter-in-law, Sherry, of the home; three grandchildren, Brandy White and husband, Robert, of Stilwell, Bobby D. Patterson Jr. and wife, Leaha, of Stilwell and Melinda Patterson, of Stilwell; five great grandchildren, Seth and Zachary White, Tessa Patterson, Jasmine Patterson and Dillion Johnson, all of Stilwell; brothers, Frank Clinton and wife, Clara and J.R. Clinton, of Texas and Henry Clinton and wife, Jeanie, of Cookson, OK; sisters, Juanita Gifford and Jewell Roberts, of Westville, OK and Sue Rackleff and husband, Bill, of West Siloam Springs, OK; special friends, Walter Johnson and Hester Moten, of Stilwell. She is also survived by many other family members and friends who will miss her.
Services were held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2009, at Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. David Mink officiating. Interment followed at Downing Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
