Jeff Bolyn
September 20, 1918-April 7, 2008
Jeff Bolyn was born on September 20, 1918 in Adair County, Oklahoma to William and Francis (Johnsonton-Shakingbush)Bolyn.
Jeff peacefully went to join Samott, their three sons, and our Lord Jesus Christ on April 7, 2008.
Jeff married Martha Still on November 25, 1939 and to this union nine children were born.
Jeff loved the outdoors and he was always doing yard work, fishing, yard selling, going to gospel singings, or just riding around enjoying life. One of his favorite pastimes was to go to Wal-Mart and park up front and just watch people to see who he could visit with. Where you saw Jeff, you saw Martha; they were one. After he lost his life partner, the kids all feared it would never be the same for him and they were right. He was just "lost" without her but he carried on until it became too much. The Stilwell Nursing Home then became his new home and extended family.
Jeff was a good father and loved his children very much. He taught all his children the importance of being respectful, responsible, having a good work ethic, and the love of our Father in Heaven. He also taught them the importance of family by taking them on many fishing trips, going to the creeks, and just spending time together as a family. By doing this, he provided them with many fun and loving memories.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents; William and Francis, his wife; Martha, three sons, Raymond, Jefferson and Fry.
He is survived by two sons; William Bolyn and wife Sherry of Weatherford, TX, Ray Bolyn and wife Barbara of Stilwell, OK, four daughters; Shirley Lowry and husband Raymond of Stilwell, OK, Donna Long and husband Robert of Westville, OK, Margie Bolyn, Jennie Mae Storm and husband Jimmy all of Stilwell, OK,
16 grandchildren; Eddie Bolyn and wife Ginger of Ft Worth, TX, Sadonia Bolyn, Shanna Atchison of Weatherford, TX, Travis Long, Martha Ann Grant and husband Marvin, Kala Williams and husband Mike, Victor Long, Jamie Long all of Westville, OK, Cynthia and Gabrielle Bolyn, Daniel, David, and Laura Teehee all of Stilwell, OK, William Bolyn of Weatherford, TX, Natasha Smith and husband Chris, and Joshua Storm all of Stilwell, OK,
16 great grandchildren; Brea, River, Ignacio, Morgan, Katie, Jeffery, Casey, Mick, Delaney, Matthew, Sara, Little Bear, Tatum, Reagan, Harley, and Redcloud, several nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends also survive him.
Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday April 9, 2008 at Hart Memorial Chapel with Tom Cochran officiating.
Interment will follow at Doublehead Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
