Rex Ferris Tidwell son of Millard Tidwell and Virginia Ruth Smith was born January 31, 1954 in Adair County, OK, and departed this life to be with our Lord on November 30, 2015 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 61 years and 10 months.

He was a great outdoorsman who really enjoyed hunting and fishing. Ferris was a great small engine mechanic and enjoyed working on golf carts, four wheelers as well as cars. He was a member of Barber Baptist Church and loved spending time with his family. He was also an avid musician who could play several instruments.

Ferris was preceded in death by his parents; siblings; Robert Earl Osborn, Merle Osborn, Edward Sitton, Millard Eric Tidwell, William Tidwell, Son in law; Bill Smith, brother in law; Mark Dunn.

He is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife; Tonya Tidwell, 3 children; Stephanie Smith and husband Chris Rich of Locust Grove, Ok, Rex Tidwell Jr. and companion Ashley Stilwell, Starla Tidwell and companion Littlewolfe Pettit all of Stilwell, OK, 5 grandchildren; Chase, Chandler, Jordan, Brynley and Oaklee Rex, siblings; Gerald Osborn and wife Peggy, Estel Tidwell and wife Alice, Mary S. Tidwell, Jack Tidwell and wife Linda, Bob Tidwell and wife Eileen. Mother in law; Leola Girdner, sisters in law; Tawanna Girdner and companion Christian Bennett, Dora Dunn, brothers in law; Todd Girdner, Tyson Girdner, Alton Girdner and wife Melissa, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Roberts/Reed- Culver Chapel, Stilwell, OK with Bro. Joe Taylor officiating. Interment followed at Clear Springs Cemetery, Stilwell, OK.
