Ruth BOWERS, daughter of Henry SWIMMER and Alcie SKITT SWIMMER, was born July 5, 1923, in Stilwell and departed this life to be with our Lord April 28, 1999 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Oklahoma City, at the age of 75 years, 9 months and 22 days.
She was a seamstress for many years before retirement. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is preceded in death by both parents, two sons, Orville SUNDAY and Bobbie Joe FOURKILLER and one stillborn infant daughter.
She is survived by three sons, Silas, James and J.C.; one daughter, Beverly; and one sister, Carol, all of Okla.; 17 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
A memorial service was conducted in Bethany on Saturday, May 1, at the Bill Merrit Memorial Chapel. Funeral services were held Monday, May 3, at the Mulberry Tree Baptist Church in Stilwell with interment following in the Clear Springs Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home of Stilwell.
