Lizzie Duncan
September 10, 1934-December 17, 2008
Lizzie Duncan the daughter of Thomas and Stella (Livers) Sawney was born September 10, 1934 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life on December 17, 2008 in Fayetteville, Arkansas at the age of 74 years, 3 months, and 7 days.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband; Samon Duncan and 1 brother; Johnny Ray Sawney.
She loved sewing, quilting, making baskets, being with her grandkids, word search books, gardening, flowers, but most of all she enjoyed her grandson, Brandon driving her around to look at beautiful scenery.
She is survived by a very loving family that includes 1 daughter; Imogene York and husband Anthony of Tahlequah, OK, 5 grandchildren; Keni Turner and compaion Matt Westmoreland of Stilwell, OK, Logan Turner of Tahlequah, OK, Brandon York of Tahlequah, OK, 1 great grandson; Remy Westmoreland of Stilwell, OK, 1 brother; Billy Fay Sawney and wife Lydia of Stilwell, OK, 1 sister; Carol Sanders and husband Don of Stilwell, OK, and 1 sister in law; MinnieSoap of Stilwell, OK. Several other relatives and many friends also survive her.
Funeral services were held Friday, December 19, 2008 in the Cherry Tree Baptist Church with Bro. George Teehee officiating.
Interment followed in the Chulio Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home
