Funeral services for Leonard Springwater were held 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 27, 2009, at Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. Doyle Sanders and Bro. John Gonzales officiating. Interment followed at Chuculate Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
Leonard Springwater was born April 10, 1943, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Tosley Springwater and Leola (Bunch) Beaty. He passed away April 23, 2009, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 66 years and 13 days.
He worked as a maintenance technician for Claremore Indian Hospital and retired after 30 years of dedicated service. Leonard was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Vietnam era. He was a member of Sequoyah Baptist Church and the American Legion. He enjoyed playing softball, gardening and loved being with granddaughter. Leonard was a handyman who could repair anything.
His surviving family includes his parents, Tosley Springwater and Leola Beaty, both of Stilwell; one daughter, Michelle Springwater, of Stilwell; two brothers, Darrell Campbell and wife, Stella, of Cookson, Bud Campbell and wife, Mickey, of Sallisaw; one sister, Inola Rogers and husband, Jerry, of Fayetteville, AR; one granddaughter, Sydney Sawney, several nieces and nephews.
