Arthur "Sonny" Rowlodge

Arthur "Sonny" Rowlodge was born in Tahlequah, OK on September 7, 1948, the son of Arthur Rowlodge Sr. and Lydia (Sixkiller) Rowlodge. As a young teenager, Sonny moved to San Jose, CA, along with his father, mother and five other siblings.

Sonny always loved art and attended an Art Trade School, taking art courses after high school, to become a Commercial Artist. For the last 40 years he worked for different Commercial Business establishments in the San Jose and Santa Clara, Bay areas of California.

Married and divorced in the '80's, the marriage lasting approximately 5 years. No children came of the marriage.

Sonny was a member of the First Baptist Church as a child and then moved on to a Faith based non-denominational church in his adulthood. He was an avid believer, sharing the good word with family and friends throughout his life.

Sonny passed away on Monday November 14, 2011 at the age of 63. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Charlene and Deborah.

He is survived by brothers, Curtis, of Santa Clara, CA, Richard, of Tahlequah, OK and sister Marie Ryan of St Louis, Mo.
