Graveside services for Mary Bunch Adair, age 79, were held Thursday, August 18,1977 at Chuculate Cemetery, Stilwell, Okla., with Bro. Johnny Goodrich officiating.
She was a full-blood Cherokee, born February 24, 1898 near Stilwell [Indian Territory] where she lived all her life. Her parents were Charley Bunch and Nannie Livers Bunch.
In 1918 she was united in marriage To Stan Watie Adair, who preceded her in death July 17, 1954. Of this marriage eight children were born. Watie Jr., Myrtle and Joe Adair preceded her in death.
Surviving children are Samuel Adair, Weatherford, Texas, Sadie Springwater, Stilwell, Virginia Hodge, Welling, Sue Saul, Longview, Texas, and Billy G. Adair, Santa Clara, Calif.; 29 grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two brothers, Jim and Sam Bunch or Stilwell; two sisters, Adeline Doublehead, and Sarah Killer, also of Stilwell.
She is also survived by numerous relatives and many friends.
