Geneva Sam Proctor

Geneva Sam Proctor the daughter of John and Ollie (Killer) Sam was born September 9, 1930 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life to be with her Lord and Savior on March 29, 2008 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 77 years 6 months and 20 days.

Geneva was a life long resident and KI-TU-WAH member of the Greasy Community, she was also a member deaconess and WMU of the Chuculate Baptist Church. She was married to her late husband Jim for over 50 years. She also enjoyed being a homemaker and spending time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jim, 4 brothers; Leo, Henry, Lil John, and Luke Sam, 2 sisters; Mary Martin, and Emma -Lee Fourkiller, 1 step-daughter; Rachel (Proctor) Lawrence, 1 granddaughter; Lavinia Lynn Leach, 1 great-granddaughter; Autumn Proctor.

She is survived by a loving family that includes 4 sons; Woodrow Proctor of Bunch, OK, Joe and Mary Proctor of Stilwell, OK, Croley and Cora Proctor of Stilwell, OK, Dennis and Irene Proctor of Stilwell, OK, 6 daughters; Mary Fourkiller and Harold Killer of Bunch, OK, Thelma and Larry Leach of Stilwell, OK, Patrica Proctor and Randall Long of Bunch, OK, Patty and Leo Duncan of Bunch, OK, Rinda and Levi Catron Jr, of Sallisaw, OK, Lucy and Kenny Wolf of Bunch, OK, 2 step children; Wilkie and Sandra Springwater, James Jr, and Betty Proctor, 35 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and many other family members and friends.

Funeral services were held Wednesday April 2, 2008 in the Chuculate Baptist Church with Bro. John Gonzalis Jr and Bro Leo Duncan officiating.
Interment followed in the Chuculate Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Fuenral Home.
