Services for Charles Licklighter of Oklahoma City were held Thursday, January 28 at Cherry Tree Baptist Church under the direction of Hunter Funeral Home, Oklahoma City. Interment was in the Chuculate Cemetery.
Licklighter was born April 27, 1919 in Adair County and died January 25, 1988 at South Community Hospital, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
He was a World War II veteran, serving with the 933rd Field Artillery Battalion, 3rd Armored division, in North Africa, France, Germany, Italy and Austria. He received his honorable discharge in 1949.
Licklighter worked for the Dolese Co., from 1950 to 1981, retiring after 30 years.
Survivors include; his wife, Emma, of the home, three sons; Rumaldo Hinojosa of Oceanside, Calif., Rito and Antonio, both of Oklahoma City, three daughters; Natalia Renera of Moore,OK., Carmen Leal McCloud, and Delores Pratt, Oklahoma City, 19 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, one sister; Juanita Green, Stilwell, OK., one brother; John Goodrich, Stilwell, and five step-brothers, Clifford, Warren, Gary, Isaac and Calvin Goodrich, all of Stilwell.
