Henry Sixkiller, son of George J. and Mary Lena (Isham) Sixkiller was born October 21, 1930 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life surrounded by loved ones on July 11, 2019 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 88 years, 8 months and 20 days young.

Henry served in the United States Army as a small arms mechanic. Henry’s career, pride and passion was driving for Walmart until his retirement in the early 90s. He loved hunting, fishing, playing dominoes and giving everyone he knew a hard time. He was an avid OU Sooner and Oklahoma City Thunder fan.

He married the love of his life, Mary Ellen, on November 30, 1966 and together they raised four children; Sue, Beanie, Mickey and Ed.
 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ellen, his daughter Nakima Sue Walden, his mother and father George and Mary Sixkiller and seven siblings of the Sixkiller Tribe: Richard, Fern, Josie, Faye, Georgia, and Reba.
 

Henry is survived by a very loving family. One daughter; Towanna Miller-Stillwell and husband Troy of Stilwell, four sons, Dennis Sixkiller of McAlester, Randy Sixkiller of Tulsa, Eddie Miller of Muldrow, and Mickey Miller and wife Faye of Stilwell. Eight grandchildren: Crystal Braxton and husband William of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; Dakota Thompson and husband Jarod of Stilwell, Mary Miller of Roland, Amanda Simco and husband Travis of Stilwell, Renee Walden of Tulsa, and Jessica Miller of Stilwell. Three siblings; Bonnie Snyder of Muskogee, Connie Sixkiller and wife Sue of Oklahoma City and Sam Sixkiller of Tucson, Arizona, one dog, Penny Sixkiller and one cat Thunder Sixkiller.Along with many special nieces, nephews, cousins, truck drivers and friends.
 

Funeral services were held, Monday, July 15, 2019 in the Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel with Darrin Sixkiller and Dakota Thompson as speakers.

Interment followed in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
