Neil Morphis the son of Chester and Pauline (Stovall) Morphis was born June 26, 1946 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and departed this life on October 21, 2019 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 73 years, 3 months and 25 days.
 

Neil enjoyed life and he loved his family. He enjoyed guitars and music. His music preferences were Bluegrass, Blues and Classic Rock. He enjoyed watching movies and spending time with his friends and family.

Neil worked as a small engine mechanic all his life. As a teenager he was taught the trade by a blind boy. He was known near and far as one of the best small engine mechanics in the country. He began his career working for Western Auto, then he worked for Worsham’s Tractor Supply, after that he worked for Jerry Barker and in later years for Key’s Lawn and Garden where he retired. Neil touched many lives over the years and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents and the mother of his children Sue Morphis.

He is survived by a loving family which includes his children Glenda Phillips and husband Michael of Iowa Park, TX, Gary Morphis and wife Kelly of Muldrow, April Hines and husband Tommy of Sallisaw, Tiffany Miller and husband Steven of Bunch, and Johnny Morphis and wife Carrie of Springdale; his sisters Kathleen Emerson and husband Neal of Checotah and Rebecca Armijo and husband Ted of Albuquerque; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive him.
 

Funeral services were held at 2 pm on Friday, October 25, 2019 at Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel, Stilwell, Oklahoma with Bro. Terry Kimble officiating.

Interment followed at Chalk Bluff Cemetery, Stilwell, OK.
