Nelson Ryan Fourkiller, the son of Dan and Virginia (Adair) Fourkiller, was born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma on June 26, 1940. He passed from this life on January 6, 2010, at Stilwell Memorial Hospital at the age of 69 years, 6 months and 10 days.
Nelson was married to Sarah Bird and to this union was born a son, Christopher. Nelson was a line worker for Stilwell Foods before becoming disabled. He was a member of Fourkiller Baptist Church and a big fan of OU, Chicago Bears and White Sox sporting events as well as an avid hunter and fisherman.
Those preceding Nelson in death include his parents, brother, Richard Fourkiller, sister, Betty Shannon, brother-in-law, George Shannon and nephew, Curtis Shannon.
He leaves behind a loving family which includes his wife, Sarah Fourkiller, of the home; son, Christopher Fourkiller, of Stilwell; brother, Levi Fourkiller, of Sacramento, CA; sister, Julie Fourkiller, of Stilwell; nieces and nephews, Stephanie Fourkiller, Richard Shannon and Phillip Powell, of Stilwell, Teresa Becker, of Broken Arrow, Annette Lee, of Coweta, Tina Fourkiller, April Fourkiller, Anthony Fourkiller and Daniel Fourkiller, of Sacramento, CA and great niece and nephews, Dawn Powell, Cameron Powell and Darron Powell, of Stilwell.
Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 11, 2010, at Hart Memorial Chapel with Jim West officiating. Interment will follow at Chalk Bluff Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
