Tony Mitchell Barker, son of Jack Connor and Shirley Ann (Catcher) Barker, was born November 22, 1963 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life surrounded by loved ones in Hulbert, Oklahoma on December 4, 2018 at the age of 55 years and 12 days.

Tony graduated from Tahlequah High School in 1982. He was a master carpenter who was also a very talented craftsman who would carve beautiful feathers from small to large and would often give many away. He was a very witty and intelligent, soft-hearted man who had a great love for his family especially his kids and grandkids. He loved hunting, fishing, shooting pool, a good and unusual cook and his family thought of him as a baby whisperer.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Connor and Lucille Barker, Lillie Calhoun, Henry “Chick” Catcher, aunt; Louise Gregory, uncles; Wayne Lacie and Elmer Gregory.

He is survived by a very loving family that includes his children; Cody Barker and wife Lauren of Hulbert, Chloe Barker and fiancé Newt Scott of Stilwell, Claire Barker of Park Hill, grandchildren; Cheston Barker, Zander Scott and Bodhi Scott, mom; Shirley Holland and husband Chris of Hulbert, dad; Jack Barker of Tulsa, sister; Melanie Risenhoover and husband Chris of Stigler. Niece and nephews; Chrissa Pettus and husband Ryan, Connor Risenhoover and wife Jessica, Calin Risenhoover, great niece and nephew; Ava and Asher Pettus, aunt; Lucille Lacie of Stilwell, uncle; Scott Barker of Oklahoma City, several cousins, other relatives and many, many friends also survive him.

Funeral services were held, Tuesday, December 11, 2018 in the Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Chapel with Bro. Darrell Lacie officiating.

Interment followed in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
