Tommie Lee Mitchell, son of Bonnie Riggs and Lee Mitchell, was born December 4, 1935 in Bunch, Oklahoma and departed this life on January 23, 2019 in Hugo, Oklahoma at the age of 83 years and 19 days.
 

Tommie was a dance enthusiast who loved to go dancing every opportunity he had, and his favorite was the “Jitterbug.” He also had a great love for music and fishing. He worked in the oil field industry and did carpentry work for many years.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; Bonnie Christopher Columbus and Bonnie Asbill, father; Lee Mitchell and siblings; Charlene, Christine, Jerald Dean and Carlene.

Tommie is survived by a loving family that includes his children; Debra Sipult and husband Raymond, Shirley Mathews and husband Carl, Jack Mitchell and wife Dena, David Mitchell and wife Pam, Larry Mitchell and wife Kathy, Jerry Mitchell, Jessica Smith and husband Carl, Justin Mitchell, Tina Mitchell and Tommy Mitchell, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Siblings; Albert Asbill, Cordell Asbill, Frank Asbill, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive him.


Funeral services were held, Tuesday, January 29, 2019 in the Roberts/Reed-Culver Chapel with Larry Eubanks officiating.

Interment followed in the Bunch Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
