Dortha Marie Asbill
November 8, 1932-June 29, 2009
Dortha Marie Asbill, daughter of James and Edna (Denny) Limore, was born November 8, 1932 in Nicut, Oklahoma and departed this life to be with our Lord on June 29, 2009 at her home in Bunch, Oklahoma at the age of 76 years, 7 months and 21 days.
Dortha was a very loving and giving person, who was always worried about the welfare of others. She was Postmaster of the Bunch Post Office for years. Her position as Postmaster allowed her to spend time with the members of the Bunch Community, whom she considered her extended family. Dortha loved her family and every minute she spent with them.
In her younger days, she liked to travel with her husband, Tommy. They traveled to Washington and Oregon several times, where they would pick apples and enjoy the scenery. Dortha will be missed, but she will remain forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; James and Edna Limore, her husband; Tommy Asbill, her brother; George Limore, her sisters; Wynona Partain and Audrey Sauls.
She is survived by her daughter; Sharon Kelley of Bunch, OK., her son; TommyAsbill of Bunch, her "Kids"; Regina Gist and Melissa Coleman of Bunch, her grandchildren; Carl Asbill and Harold Kelley of Bunch, Tommy Joe Asbill of Sallisaw, OK., her 12 great Grandchildren, her sisters; Florence Hagan of Coweta, OK., Barbara Gandy of Choctaw, OK and her brother; Edd Limore of Bunch, OK.
Funeral services were held July 2, 2009 at the Greasy Church with Bro. Udell Denny officiating. Music rendered by; Greasy Church Choir, Guitar selection by; Joseph Fuller.
Pallbearers were; Harold Kelley, Jason Fuller Sr, Jason Fuller Jr., Joseph Fuller, Tommy Joe Asbill, and Carl Brian Asbill. Honorary Pallbearers; Justin Gist, and Dakota Kelley. Flowers Girls; Carla Asbill, April Asbill, Kalie Asbill and Jordan Kelley.
Interment followed in the Bunch Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
