Conrad Wendell Young, son of Clarence and Thelma (Gibson) Young was born June 27, 1936 in Phoenix, Arizona and departed this life to be with our Lord with his wife by his side on July 26, 2012 in Muskogee, Oklahoma at the age of 76 years and 29 days.
Conrad graduated from St. Paul School of Theology in Kansas City, Missouri. He ministered at the First United Methodist Church at Muldrow, OK, Westville-Zion, Carmen-Dakota, Eakly and Lookeba Churches and the Wainwright Church. Conrad was a correctional officer Sergeant at Jess Dunn Correctional Center. He retired in 1995.
Conrad was preceded in death by his parents and brother; Cletus Young.
He is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife; Judy of the home in Muskogee, OK, 3 children; June Simmons and husband Fred, Michelle Young, Conrad Michael J Young all of Muskogee, OK. Conrad had 3 daughters of a previous marriage Bonnie Rich of Stilwell, OK, Melissa Plicque of Austin, TX, Jennifer Bonnett of Kingmon, AZ. 1 sister; Coleen Bennett and husband Jim of Westville, OK, 12 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends also survive him.
Funeral services were held at 10 am on Monday, July 30, 2012 at Roberts & Hart Chapel with Bro. Jim Beavers officiating. Interment followed at Old Baptist Mission Cemetery.
