Joseph “Luke” Wyatt, the son of Joseph Henry and Sarah Ann (Sidwell) Wyatt, was born August 1, 1910, in Henry County, Missouri. He passed away July 27, 2009, in Siloam Springs, Arkansas at the age of 98 years, 11 months and 26 days.
Luke married Jewell Alice Rebecca Hoyt in Pratt County, Kansas on July 17, 1937. He worked as a telephone lineman, servicing and installing systems for over 40 years. Luke was a member of the Westville Church of Christ.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife, Jewell, on April 7, 1998, two daughters, Mary Jane Wyatt and Joan Winter, six brothers and two sisters.
He leaves to mourn, his daughter, Julia Eden, of Westville; two sons and their wives, Richard and Ann Wyatt, of Ghorem, Kansas, Phillip and Connie Wyatt, of Wichita, Kansas, 20 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services were held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 1, 2009, at Old Baptist Mission Cemetery with Pastor Ray Phillips officiating. Burial was under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Westville.
