Funeral services for Alice Ruth Morris, 79, of Stilwell will be held Thursday, June 13, at 2:30 p.m. at the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Stilwell with Rev. Jim Eby and Rev. Douglas Jernigan officiating.
Burial will be in the Baptist Mission Cemetery at Westville under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
She was born on January 13, 1917, in Atlanta, Georgia to Rev. H.W. Hampton and Carrie Lucille Banks Hampton. She died Sunday, June 9 at her home in Stilwell. She was a homemaker and was the founding pastor of the Stilwell Pentecostal Holiness Church where she remained a member until her death. She was married to J.C. Morris on December 5, 1938 in Enid, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers; Wade Lee Hampton and Howard Hampton, two sisters: Viola Cecil Hampton and Harriet Marie Hampton, and 1 great granddaugher, Hannah Elizabeth Elliott.
She is survived by her husband, J.C. Morris of the home, her children; Wanda and David Elliott, Sr. of Wichita, Kansas, Shirley Ferrell of Stilwell, Rev. Jerry and Terry Morris of Tulsa, her grandchildren; David Jr. and Melissa Elliott of Wichita, Kansas, Sonya and Marty Horn of Stilwell, Marcella and Ken Williams of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Danford Mitchell, Jr. of Tulsa, Joseph Craig and Kristen Morris of Kellyville, Oklahoma, Robert and Kendra Morris of Broken Arrow, Steven Ferrell of Stilwell, great grandchildren: Morgan and Madison Horn of Stilwell, Jayce and Hampton Cole Williams of Fayetteville, Joseph Cody Morris of Kellyville, Garrett and Grant Morris of Broken Arrow, two brothers and sisters-in-law; Paul and Jessie Hampton of Houston, Texas, Harry and Dorothy Hampton of Houston, two sisters and brothers-in-law; Frances and Elmer Long of Houston, Carolyn and Johnny Russell of Norman, Oklahoma, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for J. C. Morris will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday, October 17, 1999 at the Pentecostal Holiness Church in Stilwell with Rev. James Eby officiating. Interment followed at the Old Baptist Mission Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Stilwell.
J. C. Morris was born January 13, 1917 in Ballard to Bert and Katherine Frances (Woods) Morris. He departed this life October 14, 1999 in Tulsa at the age of 82 years, 9 months and 1 day.
He was a cattleman and businessman and a charter member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church of Stilwell. J. C., with his brothers, owned the Morris Bros. Locker Plants in Westville and Stilwell, the Morris Processing Plant in Stilwell and the Adair County Livestock Auction. On December 5, 1938, J. C. married Alice Ruth Hampton in Enid, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on June 9, 1996.
He was also preceded in death by his parents Bert and Kate Morris; one infant sister, Pauline Morris; one brother, Melvin Morris and one great granddaughter, Hannah Elizabeth Elliott.
J. C. is survived by three children Wanda Elliott and husband David of Stilwell, Shirley Ferrell of Tulsa, and Rev. Jerry Morris and wife Terry also of Tulsa; seven grandchildren, David Elliott, Jr. and wife Melissa of Wichita, Kansas, Sonya Horn of Nashville, Arkansas, Marcella Williams and husband Ken of Bentonville, Arkansas, Danford Mitchell, Jr. of Tulsa, Joseph Craig Morris and wife Kristen of Kellyville, Robert Morris and wife Kendra of Broken Arrow, and Steven Ferrell of Tulsa; twelve great grandchildren, Morgan and Madison Horn of Nashville, Arkansas, Jacey Nicole, Hampton Cole and Jaden Alexandria Williams of Bentonville, Arkansas, Joseph Cody and Samuel Colton Morris of Kellyville, Garrett, Grant and Lauren Rene' Morris of Broken Arrow, Abigail Ruth and Rachel Grace Elliott of Wichita, Kansas; three brothers, Floyd Morris and wife Betty of Westville, Lloyd Morris of Miami, Florida, and Kenneth Morris and wife Geri of Watts and a hast of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
A memorial has been established in Mr. Morris' name for the Mission Work in Los Almendros, Colombia, S. A. Donations may be sent to the Stilwell Pentecostal Holiness Church or People Bank of Westville.
