Remona Marie McMurtrey, daughter of Clara Pilgrim, was born on January 28, 1947 in Prairie Grove, Arkansas and passed from this life on Thursday, September 8, 2011 in Bentonville, Arkansas at the age of 64 years, 7 months and 11 days.
She was a one of a kind woman and there was never a dull moment around her. She was blunt and straight to the point. Remona was the one that everyone turned to and a shoulder that was always there no matter the situation.
She enjoyed many outdoor activities and was always on the go. Her love and understanding will be missed greatly by many.
She was a beautiful lady with a good and gracious heart. Remona centered her life on her family and friends. Her smile was warm and welcoming. Remona made the world a better place for all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother: Gordon Pilgrim and grandparents: Bob and Mattie Pilgrim.
Keeping her memory is her husband: AJ McMurtrey of the home in Siloam Springs, AR, daughters: Robin Clinton and fiancé Chance Bonaparte of Siloam Springs, Rhonda Valentine and husband Brian of Lincoln, AR, granddaughter: Briana Valentine of Lincoln, brothers: Delbert Pilgrim and wife Laura of Kansas City, MO, Eugene Pilgrim and Sherrion of Gaffney, SC, several nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends.
Graveside services were held at 2:00 pm on Monday, September 12, 2011 at Old Baptist Mission Cemetery with Jim Beavers officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home, Westville.
