Jackie DeWayne Martin, the son of Joe Bill Martin and Naomi (Baker) Parkhurst, was born February 10, 1942, in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. He departed this life June 15, 2011, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at 69 years of age.
Jackie, was a paint contractor and always believed in doing quality work for his clients. He loved going to the lake and fishing with his sons and friends! He was an avid sports fan, he enjoyed all sports, especially football, basketball and baseball. He was a big O.U. Fan! He was very proud of his kids and grandchildren and he always showed them unconditional love and support!
Both of his parents preceded Jack in death.
His surviving family includes his children, Becky and Don Veale, of Tulsa, Brian Martin, of Claremore, Michael and Jenny Martin, of Corpus Christi, TX, Natalie and Chris Parker, of Rockwall, TX and Jason Martin, of Tulsa; one brother, Larry Martin and wife, Monica, of Germany; one sister, Arevella Walkingstick, of Arkansas and three grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. Bart Skipper officiating. Interment will follow at Old Baptist Mission Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Westville.
