Joe Windle Harrington

Joe Windle Harrington, son of Alva and Lillie (Wilmuth) Harrington, was born on February 19, 1942 in Decatur, Arkansas and passed from this life on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas at the age of 73 years.

He retired from Webb Wheel in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. He also worked for many years at Simmons. Joe enjoyed building and working outdoors, especially gardening. Family time was very important to him. He loved family dinners and getting a chance to cook on the grill for everyone. Joe was very active in his church (Cornerstone Baptist Church) where he was Treasurer, Sunday School Director, Song Leader and Trustee. He was very close with his church family. Joe was a good Christian man and showed us how to strongly love and care for family.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents: Alva and Lillie Harrington, siblings: Charley Harrington, Ray Harrington, Devon Harrington, Dorothy Hampton and Brenda Hampton.

He is survived by a loving family that includes his wife Emma (Swake) Harrington of the home in Westville, OK, children: Michael Harrington and wife Darla, Sylena Harrington, both of Westville, grandchildren: Robin Vann and husband Watie Vann, II of Stilwell, OK, Jordan Harrington, Ashley Harrington, Jalan Harrington, Layla Harrington, Marissa Bogart, all of Westville, great grandchildren: Alena Vann and James Vann of Stilwell, Carter and Brody Harrington of Westville, siblings: Ninna Blair of Siloam Springs, Jimmy Harrington, Danny Harrington, Kenny Harrington, Sue Beltina, many nieces, nephews, other relative and many friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 pm on Monday, April 06, 2015 at Cornerstone Baptist Church, Westville, OK with Bro. Billy Craig officiating. Interment followed at Old Baptist Mission Cemetery, Westville, OK under the direction of Roberts & Hart Funeral Home, Westville, OK.
